CD

CDs are still the best medium for delivering your audio to the vast majority of potential customers. A standard CD has a capacity of about 74 minutes of audio music. Extended, non-standard CDs can hold more than 80 minutes on a disc. Regular CD-ROM media can hold about 650 MB of data. The capacity on a CD is sufficient for many applications and enhanced CDs offer additional multimedia content such as videos for playing on a PC. The actual storage capacity depends on the specific CD format used. CDs are excellent tools for direct marketing, music recordings, trade show hand outs, educational programs, computer software, video games, archival storage, training programs and product demonstrations

DVD

DVDs are the optimal medium for audio and visual sharing especially where interactivity or increased capacity is required. DVDs, with a capacity higher than CDs, have the versatility to handle feature length movies, multimedia, games and software as well as high quality video and audio applications.

Dual Disc

Imagine one disc that delivers both CD and DVD content. With a complete CD audio recording on one side, and on the other, as well as DVD capabilities that can include music videos, artist interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, documentary films, photo galleries, lyrics, computer ready digital song files and Web links, DualDisc offers incredible versatility. DualDisc is an exciting product, offering more value to the consumer by enriching the usual album experience to one that includes sight, sound and interactivity. Getting to know more about an artist and the album is a great way to build loyal fans and add value to your sales.

The CD Side
→	offers a complete audio recording
→	is standard Red Book compatible audio
→	has a recommended maximum recording time of 60 minutes
→	plays on standard CD players and on PCs with CD drives


The DVD Side
→	may include the entire album in surround sound or enhanced audio, video content, and other features
→	plays on consumer DVD-Video players, game consoles and PCs with DVD drives
→	can be encoded with Sony DADC’s ARccOS digital DVD-Video copy control
→	has ROM portion for Web links or digital files to transfer to portable devices

Sony UMD™

DMA is proud to represent Sony Universal Media Disc (UMD) replication and authoring services. The UMD disc is only 60 mm in diameter but can hold up to 1.8 GB of digital entertainment content for the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP). Sony UMD delivers stunning graphics on the PSP wide-screen LCD. The PlayStation Portable (PSP) will play games, music and top quality movies from the Sony UMD format. The PSP also offers wireless connectivity to the Internet and PlayStation 3.

Blu-ray™

Just when we thought technology couldn’t get any better – along comes the Blu-ray Disc. Developed for high-definition video and high-capacity software applications, a single-layer Blu-ray Disc will hold up to 25 gigabytes and a dual-layer up to 50 gigabytes of data. That’s over five times the amount of content than is possible with current DVDs! Blu-ray is the future of optical media. In 2006 Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox and Walt Disney Pictures released over a hundred titles on Blu-ray. This new technology offers high definition feature films with extended levels of bonus and interactive material. Blu-ray Discs also feature the most advanced copy protection, backward compatibility with the current DVD format (meaning Blu-ray Disc players will play your existing DVDs and CDs).
